Irvine Grove

Notes: Irvine Grove, also known as James Irvine Grove, is located between Boyes and Prairie Creeks in Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park. In 1944, philanthropist and City of Irvine namesake James H. Irvine, Sr. donated $15,000 to Save the Redwoods League to preserve this tract of old-growth redwood forest. Irvine Grove became the 4th dedicated grove in Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park.

Irvine Grove includes the tallest tree in Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park (Outlier) and 1 of the 30 largest coast redwoods (Big Tree). The grove contains 1 tree taller than 360 ft (109.73 m), 2 trees larger than 20,000 ft3 (566 m3), and 1 tree larger than 25,000 ft3 (708 m3).

Outlier is the tallest tree, Big Tree is the largest tree, and Artemis is the oldest tree in Irvine Grove.
